Biography
Dr.Durval Campos Kraychete holds a PhD in Medicine and Health from the Federal University of Bahia-UFBA (2004) and a Master's Degree in Surgery and Experimentation from the Federal University of São Paulo-UNIFESP (1993). He completed the Medical Residency in Anesthesiology at UNIFESP (1989), the Specialization in Pain Clinic at UNIFESP (1991) and the Anesthesiology-Reanimation and Pain Therapy Service at the San Carlos Clinical Hospital, Universidad Complutense de Madrid (1997). and a medical degree from UFBA (1986). He has been a member of the Editorial Board of Revista Dor (since 2010), the Brazilian Journal of Anesthesiology (since 2004) and the Brazilian Journal of Rheumatology (since 2005). He is currently an associate professor at UFBA (since 1991). He coordinates the pain clinics of UFBA (since 1997) and Aristides Maltez Hospital (since 2005). Coordinator of the Postgraduate Course in Pain Clinic, Salvador University-UNIFACS (1998-2007). Scientific Director of the Brazilian Society for the Study of Dor-SBED (biennium 2011-2012), Vice-President (biennium 2013-2014) and elected President (biennium 2014-2015). He has experience in Medicine, acting mainly in: acute and chronic pain, acupuncture and regional anesthesia.
